Houli Canal Low-Head Demonstration Power Plant
In line with the government's green energy development policy, this small low-head hydropower generation project utilizes the continuous water supply of the Da'an River via the Houli Canal. The small low-head hydropower plant, designed to have minimal environmental impact, zero waste, and zero carbon emissions, is situated approximately 3.2 km along the Houli Canal. The plant spans about 80 meters in length and 10 meters in width, with an installed capacity of 110 kilowatts. It leverages a head of 3.6 meters and a design flow rate of 4.3 cubic meters per second using a tubular turbine. The average annual electricity generation is approximately 620,000 kilowatt-hours, making it a model of small hydropower generation along irrigation channels.
